Wildwood by the River Bayfield Recreational Trailer Park and Campground.
Wildwood by the River Bayfield is a four-season recreational Park where the members own a share in an attractive and active community along side the beautiful Bayfield River. Wildwood provides an enjoyable and relaxing way of life where all the best facilities are combined with sensible regulations to guarantee the highest standards of recreational living enjoyment.
Wildwood is governed by a Board of Directors, elected by the membership, responsible for the business of the Park. The park is currently recruiting for a pool lifeguard for the 2026 summer season.
The Park includes 279 sites and is located 4 km from historic beautiful Bayfield which has all the amenities including a modern grocery store, unique shops and restaurants. For some members the Park is a seasonal family retreat while other members maintain a primary residence but spend time away during the off season.
Park amenities include:
- Recreation hall which is open year round with central wood burning fireplace.
- Seasonal outdoor heated salt water swimming pool.
- Mini golf.
- Basketball and tennis courts.
- Shuffleboard.
- Splash pad.
- Children’s playground.
- Nature trails.
- Volleyball and horseshoes.
- Several satellite washroom facilities and a laundromat.
- 8 seasonal rental sites for member guests.
- Social-BBQs, Vegas Night, Live Bands& DJs, children's crafts, wagon rides etc.
Duties:
- This position is 40 hours per week and includes weekends. Shifts to be set by the General Manager.
- Monitor pool areas continuously to identify potential safety hazards or distressed swimmers.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure compliance and safety for all members and guests.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, including performing rescues when necessary.
- Administer first aid or CPR as required, maintaining readiness at all times.
- Conduct routine inspections of pool equipment and surrounding areas to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
- Complete required documentation related to incident.
- Can be reassigned to other job duties, including grounds maintenance, painting, cleaning, etc.
Job Description:
The pool lifeguard will report to both the General Manager (GM) and the Assistant Park Manager (APM).
Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications:
- Lifeguard certification.
- CPR certification.
- First Aid certification.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal.
Contract length: 4 months, May 11 - Sept 7.
Work Location: In person.
